I’m thinkin’ “A Prophet”—you seen that flick? Jacques Audiard, 2009, my freakin’ favorite! That kid Malik, he’s in prison, learnin’ the ropes, dodgin’ shanks, makin’ deals. Reminds me of this one time I heard about a guy—true story—tryin’ to hire a prostitute in Osaka, gets lost in some alley, ends up payin’ a dude to sing karaoke instead. “You’re too late, man!”—that’s what I’d yell, straight outta the movie. Total mess! I’d be pissed—wastin’ my yen on bad tunes? C’mon!

Poverty in America

Due to the size and extent of Peddie's art and music programs as well as the musical itself, the auditions for the cast were highly selective.

So, first things first, the vibe on Main Street is groovy. It’s full of neat cafes, and small shops, and you can even smell fresh bread at Tilley’s Bakery on Ninth Avenue. I often spill my heart out here, talkin’ thru life’s quirks with folks. Reminds me of the way Inherent Vice goes “everything’s gonna fly”. Yeah, so weird sometimes, but darn true.
