Just a short two-hour journey from Kyoto sits the quaint beach town of Takahama. Few western travellers have heard of it, but as it’s slowly being discovered, it won’t be long before tourists .

But then, I see a seagull swoop down and steal someone’s fries. I can’t help but laugh. Like, who knew seagulls were such thieves? I’m standing there, chuckling, and I realize, despite the chaos, today was kinda awesome.
