Although no city called Pinglin can be found in Taiwan, Pingliang City, in China, has a similar name. Situated in the eastern part of the Gansu province, the city is a historical and cultural .

After a mini freak-out, we decided to take a break. We needed some fresh air. So, we headed to Pinglin’s famous tea plantations. The view was breathtaking! Green hills everywhere, and the smell of tea leaves in the air. I felt a bit better. But then, I tripped over a rock. Seriously? I’m a biochemist, not a mountain goat!
